The original of this particular flintlock pistol was made for the French cavalry at the end of the 18th century. It's clean lines and lack of decoration clearly illustrate its military origins. Manufactured by the Arsenal at St. Etienne, this classic cavalry flintlock model features full length wood stock, and simulated brass furniture. ca. 1800. Length 13 3/4". Weight 2 lbs.
